Technical Sales Executive - Packaging Equipment

Our client, an international packaging equipment manufacturer and supplier, seeks to employ a well experienced Technical Sales Executive, who has a solid understanding of packaging production equipment and manufacturing process, specifically in the packaging of fresh produce, dairy, meat and seafood sectors and who will take responsibility for the business development and managing key existing accounts.

The role will require travel across the Gauteng region, with possible travel as far afield as Durban and Mpumalanga, therefore you will have your own reliable transport and an unendorsed driver’s license.

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

• You will have completed Matric, coupled with 3-5 years experience in technical sales, specifically in the packaging equipment sector.
• You will be able to work on and configure a CRM system and understand the dynamics thereof.
• A solid working knowledge of packaging equipment, specifically within the food sector is essential.
• In addition, you will have experience in the following:
• Establishing the technical needs of the customer and suggesting appropriate products.
• Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable.
• Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Keeping customers informed about new technological products.
• Compiling proposals and reports related to technical products.
• Ensuring that sales targets are consistently met.
• Reporting to management about sales made.
• Updating records of customer communications and contact information.
• You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
