Technical Sales Representative – Hydraulics & Pneumatics

POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and sales-driven Technical Sales Representative to join their team in the Free State. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong customer relationships and providing technical product solutions within the hydraulics and pneumatics sector. Key Responsibilities Contact new and existing customers to assess their requirements and recommend suitable products and services. Respond to customer enquiries regarding products, pricing, availability and credit terms. Prepare quotations, bid specifications and sales agreements. Explain product features and benefits based on customer needs and technical product capabilities. Negotiate pricing and the terms of sales or service agreements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records on the relevant systems. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, industry networks, trade shows and conferences. Prepare sales contracts and submit customer orders for processing. Assist customers in selecting the correct products according to their needs, technical specifications and applicable regulations. Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with customers. Collaborate with internal colleagues to share sales strategies, market information and customer insights. Minimum Requirements Matric certificate. A higher technical qualification would be advantageous. Minimum of three years'' sales experience within a hydraulics or pneumatics environment. Valid driver''s licence and own reliable vehicle. Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience working on Syspro ERP would be advantageous. Proven technical sales ability.
