SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading supplier of valve solutions to the water sector, is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join their Sales team based in Johannesburg.
This role is ideal for a technically minded sales professional with a strong background in the water industry and a passion for building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, utilities, contractors, consultants, and end users within the water and wastewater sector.
Promote and sell technical valve products and solutions.
Drive sales growth through new business development and management of existing accounts.
Prepare quotations, tenders, and technical proposals.
Conduct product presentations and technical training.
Provide after-sales support and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric).
Diploma in Business Management or related qualification.
Engineering qualification (Mechanical or Environmental) advantageous.
5–10 years' technical sales experience within the water industry or related technical environment.
Strong understanding of water infrastructure, water treatment, water quality standards, and valve applications.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively.
