SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly driven and technically strong Technical Sales Technician / Sales Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. This role requires a proven sales hunter with the ability to actively pursue and secure new business within the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Warehousing sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mining equipment, mineral processing equipment, or lifting equipment sales, combined with the technical ability to understand client requirements and offer tailored solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across engineering, manufacturing, and warehousing industries
Provide technical advice and solutions based on customer requirements
Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tenders
Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Conduct site visits and client meetings
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline
Report on sales performance and market trends

Minimum Requirements:

South African citizen
Proven experience in technical sales (essential)
Background in mining equipment, mineral processing, or lifting equipment sales (highly advantageous)
Technical qualification (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) or strong technical sales experience
Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
Willingness to travel

Key Competencies:

Strong hunter mentality with a passion for closing deals
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets (references will be conducted with previous employers)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
High level of technical understanding
Self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven
Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively
