POSITION INFO:
Technical Valve Sales Specialist Join a leading national team providing world-class flow control and instrumentation solutions across KwaZulu-Natal. We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Technical Sales Specialist with a deep understanding of process valves and strong relationships within KZN's core industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities Drive technical sales, conduct client demonstrations, and deliver high-impact technical presentations. Evaluate client applications, troubleshoot flow-related issues, and engineer long-term solutions focused on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Manage the full sales cycle, from generating leads to providing ongoing technical support. Maintain and expand account relationships across key paper, pulp, and chemical facilities in KZN. Requirements & Experience Experience: Minimum 5 years in technical sales specializing in manual\/control valves or flow-related equipment, plus proven sales history with pulp, paper, and chemical plants (e.g., Mondi, Sappi, IVS). Education: Grade 12 \/ Matric with a recognized Mechanical or Instrumentation apprenticeship (or equivalent extensive industry experience). An N6 or N Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is highly advantageous. Technical Knowledge: Strong background in valve automation, process control, and flow mechanics. Skills: Proficient in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); excellent communication skills across all organizational levels. Location: Must reside in the greater Durban area and hold a valid driver''s license. Product Portfolio: You will represent premium international brands covering: Control & Process Valves: Arca, NAF, Richter, Zwick (Triple Offset), and JC Valves. Severe Service & High Pressure: Pibiviesse, HP Valves, and Schroeder (pump protection). Slurry & Tank Protection: Stafsjö (knife gate valves) and Storagetech. Actuation & Instrumentation: Actreg actuators, PMV intelligent positioners, and Westlock switchboxes. Services: Full valve repair and reconditioning capabilities.
