Technical and System Integration Lead

Our client, a leading organization within the financial services sector, is looking for an experienced Technical and System Integration Lead to join their Enterprise Finance and P&O Technology team on a 12-month contract opportunity based in Sandton (Onsite). 

The role will provide technical and delivery leadership across the finance integration landscape, with a strong focus on Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and the Microsoft/.NET technology estate.

POSITION INFO:
What you will be doing: Own the technical health and lifecycle of Finance integrations from solution design and development through to deployment, monitoring, support and continuous improvement. Provide technical leadership across Oracle Fusion Cloud and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integration patterns, including APIs, file-based interfaces and approved batch processes. Lead and manage the Finance integration development team, including work allocation, technical direction, delivery planning, code\/design reviews, coaching and technical escalation. Define and maintain integration standards covering error handling, logging, retry and reprocessing, observability, security, supportability and non-functional requirements. Provide technical leadership across .NET\/C#, REST\/SOAP APIs, SQL, secure file transfer and enterprise integration services . Work closely with system integrators and consulting partners across technical design, build, testing, implementation and knowledge transfer. Provide design assurance and technical oversight of integration builds, configurations, code quality, defects, environment readiness and engineering standards. Design inbound and outbound Finance integration solutions across Oracle Fusion, Finance data platforms and downstream systems. Work with Finance, data and engineering teams on data sourcing, staging, transformation and mapping requirements, including Chart of Accounts and reference-data mappings. Coordinate downstream integration impacts across risk, regulatory, data, reporting and operational systems. Maintain an inventory of downstream dependencies, technical owners, required changes, testing dependencies and delivery milestones. Drive delivery across multiple technology teams, managing dependencies, blockers, resource constraints and delivery risks. Coordinate end-to-end integration testing across Finance and downstream systems. Ensure integration monitoring, operational visibility, runbooks, recovery procedures and escalation paths are in place. Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring integration incidents. Establish and maintain appropriate source control, versioning, CI\/CD and release-management practices. Work with Architecture, Cyber Security and Platform teams to ensure integrations meet enterprise standards. Act as a key technical integration point across Finance Technology, system integrators, Oracle teams, data engineering and downstream application owners. Translate business and Finance requirements into practical technical solutions and communicate technical risks clearly to stakeholders. What we are looking for: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline. 10+ years' relevant technology experience , with strong enterprise integration experience. At least 5 years' experience in a Technical Lead, Solution Lead or Senior Engineering role . Strong hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise integrations using APIs, messaging and\/or file-based integration patterns . Strong experience in at least one Microsoft development stack, preferably .NET\/C# , together with solid SQL and database knowledge. Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud and\/or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) , or comparable experience integrating with large SaaS\/ERP platforms. Proven experience leading technical teams, reviewing designs and code, and resolving complex production issues. Demonstrable experience directly managing a software or integration development team. Experience coordinating multiple downstream application teams or technology domains against a common programme plan. Strong dependency management, stakeholder management and escalation skills. Experience working with major system integrators or consulting partners while retaining internal technical ownership. Strong understanding of SDLC, source control, CI\/CD, environment management and controlled production deployments . Ability to work across business, Finance, data and technology stakeholders within a complex organisation. Beneficial: Strong Oracle Fusion Financials integration experience. Experience with OIC, BICC, REST\/SOAP APIs, UCM, FBDI and other Oracle-supported integration patterns. Finance or banking integration experience, including ledger, subledger, reference data, reconciliation, reporting or regulatory data flows. Experience with Azure integration or data services and hybrid Oracle\/Microsoft environments. Familiarity with AFCS\/AHCS, Oracle EDM and ODP\/data-product environments . Experience managing technical delivery with system integrators or managed service providers in a regulated environment.
