  The Role:

  Essential functions:

  • Service Calls: Support on all hardware/software installed on all sites.
  • Ensure accurate and up to date communication to monitoring room before resolving calls to ensure that problems have been resolved.
  • Communication with customers to ensure site meetings where necessary and accurate appointment scheduling.
  • Installations: Project Coordinating all new installations by making sure that client knows requirements as well as meeting deadlines.
  • Maintenance: Ensure that hardware / software maintenance is scheduled and performed on all relevant equipment/systems as per SLA and supplier requirements.
  • Accurate and up to date maintenance documentation to justify and guarantee visits.
  • Timesheets/ Documentation/ Reporting.
  • Vehicle log sheets
  • Training
  • Installation of hardware and software when required
  Skills and Experience:

  Essential Qualification:

  • Gr 12 or equivalent College diploma
  • MCSE and or N+ or N.DIP Electronic/Electrical Engineering (LC)
  • Structured and methodical with fault finding.
  • Networking Skills (N+ will be beneficial)
  • General Market Knowledge â?? Understanding high demand of Customer Service
  • PC skills â?? MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and Internet.
  • Electronic Skills â?? Low Current Power, Relays.
  • Software installation skills.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Access Control â?? Impro / Gallagher or similar (Beneficial)
  • Time Attendance â?? Jarrison, Kronos or similar (Beneficial)
  • Biometrics â?? Experience with Biometrics (Sagem/Sigma)
  • Basic Electonics.

  Experience Required:

  • 2-3 years customer service experience
  • 5 years experience (Minimum) with Access Control Systems (Not Negotiable)
  • 2 years experience with Time Attendance Systems (Beneficial)
  • 2 years experience with CCTV Systems (Beneficial)
  • Networking experience
  • Experience in servicing and installing Hardware Software supplied by SBT (beneficial). Other systems will be considered.
  • Access control Experience (Required)
  • Time Attendance experience (Preferable)
  • CCTV Experience (beneficial)
  • SQL Experience (beneficial)
