Technology Portfolio Manager

SUMMARY:
This is a super exciting opportunity for Technology Portfolio Manager to join an exciting, innovative, and leading JSE-listed digital company in JHB!

POSITION INFO:

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of technical projects during their life cycle to ensure that they meet contract requirements and objectives.
 
Suitable candidates must possess the following:

• BA or BSc in a relevant field
• Minimum 5 years experience in portfolio and project management managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams
• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
• Experience and solid understanding using tools such as:
• Agile Project Management tools such as Jira/Aha or equivalent
• Microsoft Project, Draw.io, and all Office Tool
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles
• Ability to drive and report on the interdependencies between technical domains (Hybrid cloud, DevOps, Software Development, Database management, ITSM Implementations, Solutions Architecture definitions)
• Knowledge of program management operations, telecommunication systems, consumer engagement processes, and technology operations
• Experience overseeing multi-function project teams with at least 10-15 team members including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Personnel Balanced business/technical background:
• Excellent communication, leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment!
