Temp Accountant

SUMMARY:
My client, a dynamic and growing manufacturing company based in Johannesburg South, is seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. This role will be responsible for managing the full finance function and ensuring the smooth running of their financial operations.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and management accounts
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Monitor cash flow, expenditure, and financial performance
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage financial audits and liaise with Auditors
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
• Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial reporting

• Strong background in manufacturing industry accounting
• Experience with financial reporting and management accounts
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks)
• Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g., BCom, CIMA, or equivalent)
