Temp Product Engineer (MPE)

SUMMARY:
A temporary opportunity has arisen for a Product Engineer (MPE) with our client in the automotive sector based in Uitenhage.

POSITION INFO:

Duties:

- Providing future model products and process information to the Production & Logistics Planning team, through consultation with WOB planning departments

- Supporting the evaluation of newly received PDM changes from WOB and inform the respective Process and Industrial engineer of changes required 

- Supporting, where required, the Production & Logistics planning divisions with Uploading PDM’s changes into Arbeitsplan and informing relevant departments of the changes

- Supporting with enquiries regarding EHPV (Engineered Hours per vehicle) for new products or derivatives

- Managing and consolidating Production & Logistics divisional inputs from the respective change management forums for new or existing models or derivatives

- Managing and consolidating the impact of all new ECR’s and deviations in AVON system

- Support the Production & Logistics Planning in all FFK product changes or produktklausurs ideas

- Supporting the planning department engineers with insight as to consideration to take into account in facility design and FMEA’s to ensure that the installed solution conforms with the PDM specification

- Identifying opportunities where product design can be changed to improve quality of build, reduction of complexity and ensuring process security

Requirements:

- NN Diploma / National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Eng./ Industrial Eng. / Mechanical Eng./ Mechatronics Eng./ Production Management / Operations Management

- Minimum 2 years Product / Process Planning experience in a production environment
