SUMMARY:
Job Opportunity: Test and Measurement Technician
Location: Hatfield, Pretoria
Travel: Ad hoc travel to project sites across South Africa
Salary: R250,000 – R400,000 per annum (based on experience)

We’re looking for a Test and Measurement Technician to join our dynamic research and development environment.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Fitter & Turner or Mechatronics Technician
• Ideally aged 25–30, with experience in automation, maintenance, or manufacturing
• Strong theoretical knowledge in both mechanical and electrical engineering
• Skilled in:
  
  • Wiring, mechanical fitting, machining, and welding
  • Ensuring precision and neat workmanship in all tasks
• Proficient in SolidWorks or similar mechanical design software
• Self-confident, client-facing personality with good interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work long hours when project demands require.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build servo-hydraulic test rigs for structural experiments
• Execute and monitor structural fatigue testing
• Conduct vibration measurements and condition monitoring
• Install and wire strain gauges and a variety of sensors
• Maintain servo-hydraulic systems and infrastructure
• Design and fabricate mechanical jigs and fixtures for testing applications
