SUMMARY:
A new vacancy exists for a Technical Test Analyst with a Diploma/Degree in IT/relevant testing experience coupled with 5+ years Development experience. Agile working experience is essential.

POSITION INFO:
Essential skills:

Scripting of test cases for automatic execution
Understanding, adhering, and contributing to automated testing framework in use in the team
Experience in manual testing.
Intermediate JAVA skills.
Expert understanding of HTML, CSS and how to locate elements
Intermediate Jenkins experience
Central repository hub experience (examples, GitHub, Bitbucket, AWS CodeCommit)
Communication & reporting skills
Excellent proficiency in the Agile Tool Chain (JIRA, Confluence, X-ray)

Role and responsibilities:

Defining and implementing Automation test plan
Preparation and communication of Test reports during test execution (SIT and UAT)
Planning and effort estimation for test case execution
Plan, organize and support test case creation
Coordinate test data creation with the developers and test analysts
Ensure appropriate test environment access levels for testers
Test Execution and capturing of defects on JIRA
Follow up on defect fixes identified during test execution
Assist in the manual execution of test cases and defect retesting when required.
Track new/changed requirements and ensure these are addressed during testing
Escalate deviations in the plan to testing lead / team lead
Setup and track a “lessons learnt” – sheet related to test topics
Ensure entry/exit criteria for all test phases are met in time
Ensure that project time allocated to testing are utilized efficiently and effectively
Requirement review & static analysis
Analyse Test Scripts for Automation feasibility
Maintenance of automation packs
Daily execution and reporting on automated regression packs
Assist with Developer (rest layer) unit testing automation
Continuous Integration / DevOps
