SUMMARY:
Our external client is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with a minimum of  8 years of relevant Test Automation experience. ISTQB qualification in Automated testing - essential and non-negotiable.

Key Purpose:
The Test Automation Engineer (Senior) is accountable for automating the testing process, adequately identifying and testing the business functional requirements to fulfilment and ensuring that defects are resolved. The role also defines, Implements and drives a Test Automation culture within the health systems environment; supporting the CI/CD DevOps strategy. The role involves coaching and mentoring within the team contributing to the continuous improvement of the Test process and methodologies.

The successful candidate will be required to perform but not limited to the following key outputs in respect of the Support Systems Management portfolio:
Test Strategy
· Defining and applying test standards & guidelines through test automation
· Defining the test vision and test strategy
· Defining the test automation framework
Test Data
· Test Data requirements must be recorded for test cases during the test case creation process
· Source and record correct test data for Test Cases
· Provide testers with the information required for them to assist in the test data creation process

Test Schedule
· Understand and confirm acceptance on responsibilities, deliverables and timelines
· Provide scheduling input to the Test Manager
· Document the test coverage and produce a test schedule
· Communicate the frequency of test deployments
· Arrange access to the test environment

Test Results
· Defining and applying test standards & guidelines
· Defining test vision and test strategy
· Using Test Automation Frameworks for defining and running automated tests
· Experience with (Acceptance) Test Driven Development and ability to promote it
· Experience with integrating automated tests within build & deployment pipeline (CD/CI)
· Experience with setting up automated performance tests (measuring performance against benchmark and different types of load)
· Ensure adequate controls are established and adequate testing is completed for all new development and enhancements to existing applications
· Build and maintain a repository of regression test cases using JIRA Xray
· Ensure test status results are properly documented and tracked and software defects are reported clearly
· Review test results stored in JIRA Xray

Defects Report
· Generate and maintain defect/bug/error/problem database or reports as needed (JRIA XRay).
· Review and validate defects logged.
· Log, Track and Resolve defects on JIRA XRay
· Generate monthly report tracking automated vs manual testing and success ratio
Peer Review Report
· Participate in reviewing other team members work.
· Educate and coach junior resources (Testers)

Education and Experience
· BSc Computer Science or equivalent 3-year IT qualification
· Minimum 8 years of relevant Test Automation experience
· ISTQB qualification in Automated testing - essential
· Must have experience with regression, usability, sanity and functional testing methods
· Experience in scripting with QTP/equivalent tool - essential
· Knowledge and experience in Cucumber, Selenium, InteliJ, CI/CD, Java, DevOps, Bitbucket, Bamboo, AWX, JIRA, JIRA Xray, LeanFT, Dynatrace, SQL
· Process knowledge of SDLC (strong functional knowledge of Systems Engineering)
· Testing methodologies, ITIL process awareness
