Our Client a global tech firm is seeking a Tester to join their team in Pretoria on a contract basis for 4 months initially. The contract will initially be for 4 months and renewed accordingly thereafter. They offer stability, growth, excellent salary package as well as a great working environment.

Description

Our client requires Test Analyst who must have the ability to perform manual end to end testing, using test cases and or functional specifications.

Requirements

Must be familiar with the software development lifecycle
The tester is expected to understand the various types of testing that are employed in a software engineering project such as negative, functional, black box, boundary testing etc.
Must have the ability to perform manual End to End testing using test cases and/or functional specifications Analysis skills
Must be able to perform Exploratory testing as and when required
Communicate test results to Test Manager
Log defects in the defect tracking system
The tester must be able to work with Team Foundation Server within the Visual Studio
environment and know how to manage assigned work and backlog items in terms of
acknowledgement, resolution and closing according development process
The tester must be team player and take direction and instructions from management and technical leads
The tester will be expected to perform maintenance testing and provide support for existing systems.
The tester will be expected to further their knowledge and skills either by means of CBT, self-education or by being willing to go on courses that are deemed important for that tester’s growth
The tester will be required to perform tasks outside of the above list from time to time.
These tasks will be agreed upon between the tester and his/her manager.
