Textiles Sales Consultant

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Textiles Sales Consultant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing customers and developing sales across the Helderberg and Overberg areas. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience in external sales and customer service within a similar industry, with knowledge of the Upholstery/Foam industry essential. We are looking for a self-motivated, target-driven individual with a proven sales track record, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work independently while being a strong team player. Preference will be given to candidates who reside in the Helderberg or Overberg areas.

Knowledge and experience within the Upholstery\/Foam industry is essential. Matric certificate is essential. Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle are essential. Clear credit record. Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver required results. Proven track record in sales, telemarketing, and customer servicing. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Strong time management and organisational skills. Excellent relationship-building and customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Target-driven and results-oriented. Demonstrated ability and confidence in selling. DUTIES: Maintain and grow the existing customer base across current and related industries by providing a consultative, responsive, and efficient sales service. Service and maintain the active customer base. Contacting active customers according to the required frequency outlined on the customer database. Understanding and responding to customers' needs and requirements. Maintaining and growing existing sales. Providing excellent customer service and ensuring positive customer experiences. Generating referral business from existing customers. Increase the percentage of spend from active customers. Understanding each customer's overall budget and purchasing requirements. Identifying opportunities to increase the customer's spend with the company. Introducing and selling new or alternative products to existing customers. Increasing the overall Rand spend per active customer. Develop inactive customers into active customers by: Maintaining and reviewing the inactive customer database. Contacting inactive customers to arrange meetings and establish their current needs. Identifying opportunities to re-engage and grow inactive accounts. Develop new business by actively sourcing and identifying prospective customers: Build and maintain a database of potential customers by area and industry. Identify the appropriate decision-makers within prospective customer organizations. Make contact with potential customers to establish their needs through telephone calls and\/or face-to-face visits. Provide relevant product information and samples where appropriate. Ensure all new customer information is accurately captured on the central customer database. Meet and exceed monthly sales targets by: Planning monthly sales targets and sales activities in consultation with the Sales Manager. Meeting with the Sales Manager weekly to review the monthly sales plan and discuss actual performance against budget. Taking proactive action to address any gaps between actual and budgeted sales. Complete and adhere to all company administrative policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales administration by: Completing a monthly sales planner. Using the daily call sheet and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions. Completing and submitting a weekly sales report by 13:00 every Friday. Completing all administration relating to stock, refunds, credit notes, and other relevant sales processes. Ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and within the required deadlines.
