SUMMARY:
An Eye Specialist based in Montana, Pretoria is looking for an experienced Theater List Coordinator to start in July 2021. Working hours (08:00 - 17:00)
POSITION INFO:
Job Description/Duties:
• Coordination of theater lists.
• Communication with theater staff, anesthetists and assistants.
• Communication with patients to enable them to obtain medical aid authorization for their operations.
• Communication with patients regarding their hospital admission.
• The timely ordering of consumable theater items.
• Checking the accuracy of invoices from the suppliers of the consumable theater items.
• Electronic and physical filing. The timely acquisition of medical aid authorization numbers from patients.
• Providing estimates of surgical costs to patients.
• General reception duties, when the receptionist is absent or when a lot of pressure is experienced at the practice.
Minimum Requirements:
• A matric certificate (and possibly appropriate post-secondary education).
• Bilingualism (Afrikaans and English)
• Computer literacy.
• Must be a non-smoker.
• Must be able to work in a team.
• Must be able to work accurately / accurately.
• Must be able to listen to instructions and carry them out.
• Must be able to function effectively under pressure.
• Must like working with people.
