POSITION INFO:

Theatre Education Lead - East Rand, Gauteng

Our team is recruiting a senior Theatre Education Lead to drive clinical excellence, professional development, and governance within its Operating Theatre complex.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for advancing competency standards, strengthening clinical training frameworks, and aligning theatre practice with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Strategic Focus

Lead and oversee all Theatre education, training, and competency programmes
Develop structured learning pathways aligned with SANC standards
Drive workplace assessment, mentoring, and clinical skills development
Ensure best practice in Operating Theatre Techniques and IPC protocols
Support theatre quality improvement, clinical risk, and audit initiatives
Partner with Nursing Management to enhance theatre performance metrics

Minimum Requirements

Registered Nurse with active SANC registration
Diploma/Degree in Nursing
Diploma in Nursing Education (essential)
Postgraduate qualification in Operating Theatre Techniques (essential)
Minimum 5 years’ experience within an Operating Theatre environment
Proven experience in facilitation, workplace assessment, or clinical education
Strong leadership, organisational, and governance capability
