Theatre Unit Manager

POSITION INFO:
A private hospital in Kwazulu Natal (inland), has a vacancy for a Theatre Unit Manager that will ensure efficient management of staff and the unit, to ensure quality patient experience. 
Key responsibilities:
·         Ensure a safe and therapeutic patient environment by adhering to the Health & Safety standards in the unit
·         Staff management
·         Build & maintain good relationships with the surgeons and representatives
·         Identify and manage all risks within the Theatre
·         Ensure cost effective management of stock and equipment
Requirements:

• Nursing Diploma or Degree & SANC registered
• Post basic Operating Theatre qualification (required)
• Post basic Nursing Management qualification added advantage
• Minimum of 5 yrs experience as Theatre Scrub Nurse in multi-disciplinary hospital
• Minimum of 3 yrs proven leadership role as Team Leader or Manager within  Theatre
• Private hospital experience required
• Ability to display sound judgement in problem solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Computer proficiency: MS Office
