Tooling Manager

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Tooling Manager for a Permanent position based in New Germany, KZN

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Matric + NDip Mechanical Engineering
• Experience and knowledge of FMEA, SPC, Quality Planning, Problem Solving
• Five years management experience as well as Process Engineering, Tool Procurement & Tool Maintenance Functions

 

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Ensure adherence to project and timing plans in line with the Product development timing programs
• Ensure activities are performed to meet project and quality planning requirements
• Effective management of staff structure
• Manage project implementation and industrialisation of new products and technologies
• Oversee Process Engineering & Tooling to the manufacturing function
• Ensure a high standard in the introduction of new jigs, fixtures, facilities and equipment
• Ensure that Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental requirements are met at all stages
• Procure all new Injection Moulding tooling, set up timing plans, establish tooling costs and quotations to customers
• Manage all tooling projects up to the commissioning stage
• To oversee all functions of the Toolroom, including maintenance of tools.

 

Salary:  R60 000.00 per month
