SUMMARY:
New role is available for a Toolmaker for our client in the Manufacturing Industry, based in Gqeberha.

POSITION INFO:
KPI's

Compile and submit the required Die Maintenance change-over schedule based on shot count performance, recorded at each Dimo to the Foundry Manager daily, and schedule replacement moulds as per policy.
Complete Trial Proposal or Engineering Change Request documentation illustrating the required changes.
Record equipment breakdowns by completing a Maintenance Job Card and submitting this to the Maintenance Artisan.
Communicate in writing the service and spray up mould requirements, ensuring the necessary moulds are ready as per cast plan.
Maintain Foundry tooling at the required quality level.
Assist with basic Machine maintenance and/or problem solving as and when required to assist or provide input.
Provide and maintain the foundry with tooling to achieve the production plan.
Manufacture all cooling pipes and Modifications on tooling at the required quality level.
Strictly adhere to the Health, safety and Environmental (HSE) policy of the Company.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Die Maintenance / Tooling.
Thorough knowledge of Tooling in Production Environment.
TIG Welding experience.
Knowledge of Quality Specifications.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of entire Foundry processes.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in turning and milling.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Excellent attendance record and Impeccable disciplinary record.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Computer literacy – Excel and Word.
Must be able to work in heat conditions and be physically able to do the job.
Good decision making and problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Good Communication Skills with Strong Problem-Solving Skills.
