Training Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
 Diploma/Degree in HR or HRD field (NQF 6/7)
 HR or HRD post-graduate qualification is desirable
 5yrs Relevant experience in middle Management (HR/HRD)
 Mining operational experience in training
 Knowledge of relevant legislation (Mining Charter, Skills Development, MHSA, BBBEE)
 Knowledge in change management, leadership & supervisory development
 Knowledge of the development of company policies, HRD strategy and procedures
 Knowledge of MQA accreditation requirements
 Knowledge of Education, Training and Development methodologies
 General HR and OD knowledge

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Align HRD with the organisational strategic objectives to ensure that the Business Plan imperatives are
achieved
 Ensure legislative compliance as per relevant legislation e.g. MHSA
 Ensure the delivery of quality and effective training in so doing maintain HRD accreditation and certification
 Ensure Impala’s’ business plan imperatives are carried out as per plan and SLP targets set out in Section 2 of
the MPRDA.
 Analyse and assess training effectiveness to determine when revision and enhancements of processes should
occur
