JOB DESCRIPTION

The Waste Control Division currently has a vacancy for a motivated, professional and organized Transport Clerk to join their team. The Transport Clerks` primary purpose is to oversee bookings and to liaise with Waste Control customers to ensure smooth operation and that the requirements of the Waste Control clients are met.

He/she will also be required to:

• Manage email and phone bookings
• Ensure that client bookings are confirmed
• Ensure that the staff daily allocation schedule is kept updated
• Accurately capturing of the scrap delivery notes
• Scan Documents to clients
• Update the Sales Team with Carry Over Reports at all times
• Ensure highest possible customer service levels
• Ensure Occupational Health and Safety requirements are adhered to

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Previous Transport Clerk experience will be an added advantage
• Transport Management or similar qualification will be an added advantage
• Basic Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and Microsoft Office)
• Working knowledge of vehicle tracking systems
• Code 08 driver’s license with own vehicle essential
• Excellent communication, telephone & organizational skills
• Ability work independently and within a team
