POSITION INFO:
My client from a Freight Forwarding Company is seeking a Transport Clerk to join their team in DBN

Negotiate with the Transporter to ensure best buying rates
Coordinate and schedule transporters
Plan breakbulk, FCL and sufficient notice to clients/ warehouse
Plan all deliveries and cold store deliveries
Monitor container storage and demurrage
Ensure the additional charges are invoiced out to the client
Constant communication with customers by phone, email and Whatsapp- after hours and weekends included
Check ETAs
Identify overweight cargo and able to calculate weights correctly
Check value of cargo and able to identify additional insurance cover
Able to identify what special equipment will be required for deliveries

Grade 12
Freight qualification is advantageous
Shipshape or similar knowledge
3 years industry experience
