The Role:
RTT Distribution invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Transport Planner position based at the Jetpark branch. The role is responsible for the daily planning and scheduling of vehicles and routes as well as analysing route performance to improve future planning
Skills and Experience:
- 1 year related experience
- Strong experience in transport planning and execution
- Analytical and problems solving skills
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook)
Key Accountabilities:
- Active daily planning of routes
- Drive top-5 KPI''s and drive down costs
- Measured on Cost/KG, Service levels, Utilization, RD''s
- Interact with Trackers and Expeditors to get route feedback and thus improve routing
- Assist and resolve Rout Plan vs Actual issues
- Review KPI''s
- Analyse Turnaround time on routes, focus on improving weak areas
- Improve service delivery to customers, on-time
- Highlight areas of concern, create action plans and implement or drive implementation

- Ability to work in a group as well as on his/her own

Qualifications:
BTech /Degree in Logistics or similar
