TRIMS COORDINATOR

Our client, a well-established company within the
clothing manufacturing industry, is looking for a detail-oriented and organised
Trims Coordinator to manage the sourcing, ordering, tracking, approval and delivery of trims throughout the product development and production process.
The successful candidate will work closely with
Merchandising, Production, Buyers, suppliers and CMT factories to ensure all trims are available, approved and delivered according to production requirements and deadlines.
POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate the sourcing and purchasing of garment trims and accessories. Manage trims including labels, buttons, zips, elastics, bows, drawcords, ribbons, tapes and packaging . Liaise with suppliers regarding quotations, orders, samples, deliveries and queries. Place and follow up on trim orders to ensure deadlines are met. Coordinate trim samples, artwork and approvals where required. Liaise with Buyers and internal teams regarding trim approvals and outstanding requirements. Monitor outstanding orders, approvals and deliveries. Coordinate with CMT factories regarding trim requirements. Maintain accurate trim charts, trim packs and related documentation. Track trim requirements against production schedules. Assist with production planning and ensure trims are available when required. Verify supplier invoices and documentation against orders where applicable. Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems. Identify and escalate delays or shortages that may impact production. Provide regular updates to Merchandising and Production teams. Assist with general administrative duties within the department. REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 \/ Matric. Minimum 2-3 years' experience within a clothing\/textile manufacturing environment. Previous experience in Trims Coordination, Trims Buying, Fabric & Trims Buying or Clothing Merchandising is essential. Good knowledge of garment trims and accessories. Experience dealing with trim suppliers and\/or CMT factories. Experience with trim ordering, sourcing and follow-up. Strong understanding of clothing production processes. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail. Good communication and follow-up skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict production deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. ADVANTAGEOUS Experience with Sync \/ iSync .
