UI UX Analyst

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a UI/UX Analyst with vast experience on UI Design.

POSITION INFO:
Purpose of the Position:
The suitable candidate shall be responsible for the analysis, design, and documentation according to standard and compliant presentation layer solutions to fully describe User Interface (UI) components. The suitable candidate shall rely on relevant technical skills to complete low-cost representations of the user interface (prototypes) to:

• Elicit further requirements
• Improve usability of systems
• Improve understanding of the system complexities
• Improve the user experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate UI design solutions

• Apply relevant techniques to elicit, identify, define, document and manage user requirements related to user interactions.
• Peruse Requirement Specifications to identify relevant UI components and UI specifications.
• Identify Use Cases to describe the user interaction of the system being designed.
• Collaborate with team members from the various disciplines to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visual representation and user experience.
• Execute the relevant visual design stages, from conceptual wireframes to final prototypes that clearly illustrate functionality/features
• Illustrate design ideas using wireframes, storyboards, screen and process flows
• Present and champion designs to project stakeholders.
• Hand-off of UI design solutions to software engineering teams using design artefacts
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex enterprise systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness, quality checking of implemented designs)
• Present and champion designs to project stakeholders.
• Actively take part in system engineering design activities with particular emphasis on the impact of the UI on the overall systems design.
• Maintain and promote UI design systems/guidelines, best practices and standards.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with team members and clients.

• Degree and or a Diploma in Graphic Design (Information Design) or relevant work experience.
• A course, diploma or degree which implies a solid understanding and experience in presentation layer solutions delivery will be advantageous.
• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in the design of UI solutions to either content rich web sites or functional driven web applications.
• At least 2 years’ experience in prototyping of UI solutions and/or web interfaces.
• At least 2 years’ exposure in business or systems analysis.
• Experience in the role that business analysis and UI design play in the SDLC process.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
• Ability to take initiative, lead creative design discussions and present UI designs to the team
• Problem solving mindset
• Use of Graphics editor and prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD and Sketch (Experience using Figma will be advantageous)
• UML (Advantageous)
• Design System (Advantageous)
• Familiarity with Material Design (added advantage)
• Understanding of basic front-end languages HTML 5.0, CSS3
• Any relevant UI Design Experience
• Good facilitation and conflict resolution skills (added advantage)

• Ability to effectively communicate and explain design to relevant consumer audiences. Present information persuasively and validate your design solutions based on logical arguments.
• Ability to switch between big picture thinking and discussing/defining detail at a deeper technical level.
• Planning and executing abilities – estimate, goal setting, and meeting deadlines.
• Open and approachable, but firm (appropriate assertiveness).
• Self-starter, with the ability and drive to define and execute work tasks within an amorphous, sometimes ambiguous, context.
• Be open to receiving objective criticism
