SUMMARY:
Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for an Uncertified Aviation Technician (Mechanical) at our head office Bonaero Park. The successful application will report to the Manager: Maintenance.
POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required to perform various duties including, but not limited to:
- Heavy maintenance;
- Conduct routine inspections;
- Fault finding and rectification;
- Perform C-check inspections & tests;
- Inspector for mechanical on all aspects of aircraft maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 12;
- Experience on GTCP131-9 and GTCP85-129( ) APU’s;
- Minimum of ten (10) years aviation experience;
- Previous experience working on B737 – 400 and -800 is a must;
- Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
- Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both domestic and internationally;
- Sound understanding of B737-400 and B737-800 mechanical systems;
- Understanding of SACAR’s as applicable to maintenance;
- Valid South-African/ Foreign passport holder;
- Good computer soft skills in Word and Excel.
