POSITION INFO:

A leading engineering solutions provider specializing in high-performance hydraulic systems for mining. Now hiring 4 skilled Underground Fitters/Millwrights to maintain and install cutting-edge equipment at mine sites in Welkom (x2), Carletonville (x1), and Brits (x1).

Requirements:

Matric or equivalent
Trade Certificate: Fitter/Millwright
5+ years’ underground mining experience (hydraulic systems preferred)
Technical Skills: Mechanical/hydraulic fault-finding; Equipment installation expertise
Valid medical certificate (or proof of fitness for underground work)
Clean criminal record

Responsibilities:

Perform routine servicing, breakdown repairs, and installations of hydraulic mining equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Install and commission hydro-powered mining equipment
Ensure 100% compliance with safety protocols and OEM standards
Maintain accurate equipment logs and job cards
Train mining crews on safe operation practices
Manage underground spare parts inventory
