Unidata Developer/Engineer - Contract - Remote
POSITION INFO:
Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Unidata Developer/Engineer to join their team remotely on a contract basis for 12 months. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates and a great working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to the Central System, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient resolution of problems
- System Development: Design, develop, and maintain the Central System, leveraging knowledge of Unibase, Unidata, and the Pick operating system.
- Azure Integration: Manage and optimize the system's hosting environment in Azure, ensuring seamless operation on a custom fork of Redhat.
- Legacy System Enhancement: Implement enhancements to the bespoke system, to improve performance and functionality.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and implement quality assurance practices to maintain high standards of code quality and system reliability.
Qualifications:
- Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Proven experience managing and leading a team of platform engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and advanced cloud services.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide technical teams and collaborate with other stakeholders.
