A vacancy for a Unit Manager in the Orthopaedic unit has become available at a hospital in the Free State.
POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and high quality patient care in the Medical and Surgical units, including mentoring, training and professional development of the staff within these units.
Requirements to be considered for this position:
· 5 years nursing experience post qualification with Shift Leader/2IC experience
· 3 years nursing experience within an Orthopaedic unit is essential
· Previous management experience would be advantage
· Knowledge of private healthcare would be advantage
· Knowledge of budgeting processes
· Passionate about high level of patient care and staff development
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Resilience
Education Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Nursing Science
Post-basic Orthopaedic qualification would be advantage
Nursing Management or Nursing Education Diploma would be an added advantage
SANC registered
Computer proficient in using MS Office
