Unit Manager - Theatre

SUMMARY:
A vacancy for a Theatre Manager has become available at private hospital based in Kwazulu Natal (INLAND)

POSITION INFO:

Applicants must be Theatre trained with management/supervisory experience and the ability to ensure that the theatres are efficiently managed and staffed.

Key duties/responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate the day-to-day clinical operations of the theatres  to ensure the smooth running of the unit
• Monitoring all staffing requirements related to duty rosters, leave etc.
• Ensure that patient billing is performed accurately
• Ensure on-going in-service training is performed in the theatres
• Customer service focused and maintain excellent standards and service levels
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Promote customer satisfaction within unit and address customer complaints
• Stock management within the theatres

Requirements:

• Nursing Diploma or Degree and SANC registered
• Post basic Operating Theatre qualification (required)
• Post basic Nursing Management diploma (required)
• Min of 5 years nursing experience in Operating Theatres with min of 2 years management/supervisory experience in private hospital
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Computer proficiency
• Demonstration of good organisational and time management skills
