SUMMARY:
CLIENT in the MINING INDUSTRY requires the services of a VICE PRESIDENT ORGANISATIONL DEVELOPMENT at their plant in the WEST RAND as soon as possible
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Required Qualification:
|
- Have a NQF 8 (Post graduate Diploma / Honours Degree / Professional Qualification Degree) in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources or related field.
The Appointee should:
|
- Have 10+ years of experience in Organisational Development, Change Management, or related fields, with experience in the mining / heavy industry preferred.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Have a clear security screening record.
- Be declared medically fit to work in the specific business area.
- Have excellent Computer skills (MS Office, SAP and ESS).
- Have ability to plan, develop and deliver presentations and reports for internal and external use.
- Have strong leadership skills.
- Have understanding of quality requirements for a Quality Management System.
- Have ability to plan, design and implement policies and processes.
- Have an understanding of the principles of Organisational Development and Change Management and the impact on the organisation.
Advantageous Qualifications:

- NQF 9 (Master’s Degree) in Industrial Psychology, Human resources or related field
- Qualification in Organisational Development or Change Management
- Experience in leading OD and change management in a global organisation
- Registered with the SABPP as an OD Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
|
- Formulating a strategy, implementation plan and operating standards for the OD function in line with corporate frameworks, organisational strategies and objectives.
- Identify and interpret related legislation and its impact on OD and ensure compliance.
- Work closely with regional senior and executive leaders to cocreate regional strategies aligned to the regional strategies and objectives.
- Align the various regional OD strategies with the regional Human Resource strategies, goals and objectives.
- Design OD practices to retain top senior talent.
- Identify current and long-term risks that might impact the organisation.
- Design suitable strategies to deliver on the OD mandate aligned to the organisational growth strategies.
- Co-design the necessary policies and procedures with regards to organisational development.
- Manage the OD assessment standards and process for VP+ roles in collaboration with external service providers
- Ensure registration with legal entities are kept up to date.
- Develop governance and control mechanisms to ensure consistent application across various regions.
- Ascertain short-, medium- and long-term objectives to deliver on OD strategy.
- Engage with key stakeholder to identify and agree on integration requirements opportunities.
- Lead the development and implementation of qualitative & quantitative research questionnaires
- Lead the development and implementation of regional OD programmes and interventions.
- Ensure that OD interventions are developed, reviewed and aligned.
- Ensure the successful communication and roll out of regional OD programmes and training materials.
