A Chemical company specialising in the manufacturing of adhesives for various sectors.
Job Description
You will be responsible for the following key performance areas and indicators:
- Procure and issue safety equipment/ PPE
- Conduct and oversee various internal SHEQ related audits
- Involved in external SHEQ audits
- Arrange inspection of fire safety equipment
- Ensure all SHE checklists are duly completed
- Replenish and maintain SHE books
- Prep for monthly Health and Safety meetings
- Issue and supervise COIDA related documentation/procedures
- Investigate injuries, spills and environmental incidents with relevant supervisors
- Maintain filing system PPE records, audits and controlled documents accurately
- Monitor SHE training requirements and ensure
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- SAMTRAC/NOSA certification
Skills
- The Occupational Health and Safety Act
- The Compensation of Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act
- National Environmental Management Act
- ISO 9001:2015
- 3-5 years’ experience within a Health & Safety Department
- Quality inspection and auditing experience
- First aid experience
