SUMMARY:
Our international client, currently seeks a Business Manager, to manage the Value Added Services portfolio and new product investment proposals, through negotiation and building relationships with partners, in order to meet customer requirements and increase profitable growth for the Group.
POSITION INFO:
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Business related qualification, e.g. CA (SA), Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Science.
- Post Graduate preferred.
- Min 5 years’ experience in VAS Solutions in FMCG industry.
- Min 2 years in a Team Lead role.
- Marketing experience pref.
Key Performance Areas:
Group Strategy Implementation:
- Build VAS products in collaboration with suppliers and outlets.
- Respond to and manage customer changing lifestyle needs through VAS products.
- Design commercial and financial models for the trading environment.
- Drive innovative product offering and digitalisation within the Group VAS products.
- Educate and drive an agile culture of working with all stakeholders.
Commercial Management;
- Determine commercial policies for the Group which will guide standard terms for contracts.
- Identify and assess commercial opportunities for the Group.
- Ensure that trading relationships comply with business goals and policies.
- Negotiate and review partner commercial agreements and ensure they are profitable.
- Assess costing and pricing to ensure all costs have been considered.
- Liaise with the Legal department to ensure legal compliance.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Network with potential suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with relevant partners for new business opportunities and adoption of the Group products and service offerings.
- Manage with cross functional team’s promotional offers and marketing material.
- Manage program services and program pitch delivery to business partners.
- Serve as the primary VAS liaison for the Management team regarding communication on all performance actions and decision making.
- Co-ordinate with Divisional Sales Directors and stakeholders to evaluate and increase efficiency and effectiveness across the value chain in order to drive and increase sales revenue.
Administration, Finance and Reporting:
- Oversee and drive the sales of VAS products while enhancing the customer experience.
- Advice and support to the Finance department on IFRS relating to VAS products and their treatment.
- Analyse financial performance of the VAS products for the Group.
- Manage the department’s budget.
- Design financial key performance indicators to measure and track progress.
Regulation and Compliance:
- Establish a compliance and governance framework for the VAS business, including suppliers and consumers.
- Ensure that regulations for VAS products are complied with throughout the Group.
- Formulate plans to ensure that commercial, financial, legal, and technical risks are identified and mitigated.
