Vehicle Estimator for Panelshop Blackheath Cape Town

POSITION INFO:

NOW HIRING: VEHICLE DAMAGE ESTIMATOR

Are you sharp with numbers, confident with clients, and experienced in vehicle repairs? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team and drive accurate, efficient, and relationship-focused repair processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively engage with insurance companies, brokers, and vehicle owners regarding damaged vehicle repairs
Conduct daily estimates of labour and parts for all incoming jobs
Review repair cost estimates with the Operations Manager and Ops Team
Assess and advise on the feasibility of repairs vs. replacement (e.g. bumpers, fenders, doors)
Take full ownership of the costing process, working closely with the Admin Team
Utilize systems such as Audatex and Abuntex for accurate estimating
Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance assessors and partners
Consistently follow up on quotes to improve conversion and turnaround times

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in vehicle estimating or panel beating environment
Strong technical understanding of vehicle repairs and parts
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet daily targets
High attention to detail and accountability
