Vehicle Examiner / Roller Brake Test Officer

SUMMARY:
Vehicle Examiner / Roller Brake Test Officer required for the logistics facility of our well-recognised Logistics Client situated in Camperdown, KZN.  Qualified tradesmen holding a Code EC (14) license, valid EoV and 5 years' plus experience in a similar role will be considered for the position.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct brake roller and mechanical inspections using the MAHA brake testing system.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and the National Road Traffic Act (NRTA).
• Accurately record, manage, and submit test data and inspection reports.
• Identify and report any deviations, irregularities, or abnormal wear on vehicles.
• Collaborate closely with the workshop team to ensure fleet roadworthiness.
• Maintain and calibrate brake testing equipment as per standards.
• Perform general administrative duties related to vehicle testing and documentation.

• Grade 12 or N3 Certificate
• Qualified Diesel Technician (Red Seal)
• Valid Examiner of Vehicles (EoV) certification
• Code 14 (EC) driver’s license with valid PDP
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial vehicle testing (preferably at a COF centre)
• Good computer literacy and data management skills
• May be required to work overtime and on Saturdays due to operational requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
