We are looking for a passionate and organised Volunteer Coordinator to join a unique wilderness environment where people from around the world come together to make a meaningful impact. This role is about creating memorable experiences for volunteers while ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes. The ideal candidate is a natural people-person who thrives on connection, has a passion for conservation, and enjoys balancing guest experience with practical coordination. Candidate Responsibilities: Coordinate the full volunteer journey, from arrival and orientation through to departure Welcome volunteers and create a warm, engaging, and supportive environment Manage volunteer schedules, activities, and daily programmes Assist with conservation, research, and community-based initiatives Build strong relationships with volunteers from diverse backgrounds and cultures Coordinate logistics including accommodation, transport, meals, and activity requirements Act as the main point of contact for volunteers, ensuring their needs are met throughout their stay Facilitate communication between volunteers, staff, and operational teams Assist with reporting, feedback collection, and improving the volunteer experience Help create meaningful moments that leave volunteers feeling connected to the reserve and its mission Core Criteria: FGASA Level 1 minimum Degree or background in Botany, Animal Husbandry, Wildlife Management, Conservation or related fields Experience with volunteers, conservation or eco-tourism advantageous Passion for wildlife, people and making a positive impact Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A warm, approachable personality with a passion for working with people Ability to work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach Ability to work independently while being part of a close-knit team Computer literacy and strong administration skills A flexible, hands-on attitude suited to a remote wilderness environment This is a live-in position Meals not included
