POSITION INFO:
Optim-G is looking for an experienced IBM BAW (Business Automation Workflow) Developer to join a leading South African Bank.
What You Will DoAs the Workflow Developer, you will analyse existing BAW workflows impacted by AMLoC findings, redesign and implement changes to meet remediation requirements, and ensure all workflow changes are fully tested and documented to regulatory evidence standards.
- Analyse existing BAW workflows impacted by AMLoC findings and design remediation changes
- Implement workflow process changes, automation enhancements, and configuration updates in IBM BAW
- Develop or update human task interfaces (Coaches), business rules, and integration services
- Collaborate with the Payments Analyst SME to ensure workflow changes reflect regulatory requirements accurately
- Produce workflow design documentation, configuration records, and test evidence for each change
- Support the Quality Engineer during functional and end-to-end testing of workflow changes
- Prepare deployment packages and runbooks for BAW workflow releases
- Provide post-deployment support and resolve workflow defects during the stabilisation period
What We're Looking For- Minimum 5 years of IBM BPM or IBM BAW (Business Automation Workflow) development experience
- Experience designing and implementing workflows within banking operations, payments, or compliance environments
- Integration experience: REST/SOAP services, database connectivity, and enterprise platform integration
- Ability to develop BAW Coaches (UI components), business rules, and decision services
- Experience producing workflow design documents, configuration records, and test evidence
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
- IBM Certified Solution Developer – Business Automation Workflow – advantageous
- IBM BPM certification (prior version) accepted where BAW experience is demonstrated
Advantageous- Prior experience in a compliance or AML-related workflow remediation project
- Experience integrating BAW with Eximbills or core banking platforms
- Familiarity with cross-border payments or financial services operational workflows
