WORKSHOP / SERVICE MANAGER - PUMP IND

SUMMARY:
Urgently seeking an experienced Workshop Manager with technical experience in the pump industry in the Roodepoort area.

POSITION INFO:

Workshop / Service Manager (Roodepoort)

Seeking a candidate with good knowledge of pumps, welding, repairs, baseplate assemby, etc.

A Trade would be advantageous

We import and sell a range of pumps and oil free compressors, namely: ARO diaphragm pumps, Durco Centrifugal pumps, Blackmer vane and gear pumps, Innomag Magnetic drive pumps. Sihi liquid ring vacuum pumps.

We package these on baseplates with motors, vee drives and gearboxes. We also repair our and other makes of pumps.

Daily maintenance of workshop and office.

1. Staff management.
2. Ordering of workshop consumables and job equipment.
3. Designing of base plates for new quotations.(autocad would be an advantage)
4. Making sure all equipment is in good working order and keeping all certificates up to date.
5. Maintain vehicles with scheduled services
6. Building of pump sets. (Training others to do this. Would prefer to have a candidate who can do the job hands on, but rather supervises others to achieve)
7. Liaise with Salesmen regarding pump builds. This is an important function.
8. Keeping a build register for QCP documents (New builds, Repairs)
9. Placing orders of suppliers
10. Assist branches with drawings and quotations on baseplates.
11. Quality control
12. Site commissioning and repair work.
13. Ensuring the workshops in Durban, Cape Town and Rustenburg are up to scratch for their purpose.
14. Opening up in the morning.
15. Monitor the drivers and stores staff.
