Our client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for Waitrons in Sea Point, Cape Town.
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a memorable dining experience.
- Take and serve orders with a high level of professionalism.
- Knowledgeably present and recommend menu items, including wines and their origins.
- Operate cash registers and ordering information systems efficiently.
- Handle transactions accurately using basic math skills.
- Maintain a strong customer service orientation, actively listening to and addressing guest needs.
- Demonstrate attentiveness and patience when dealing with a distinguished clientele.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders to guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
- Uphold impeccable presentation and grooming standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
- Preferably 3 years of previous Waiter/Waitress experience in a similar high-end environment.
- Basic knowledge of wines and familiarity with surrounding wine regions.
- Hands-on experience with cash registers and ordering information systems.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction handling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with an attentive and patient approach.
- Comfortable and professional demeanour when serving a distinguished clientele.
- Well-presented with attention to grooming and appearance.
- Flexibility and accountability in adapting to dynamic work requirements.
- Enthusiastic personality to contribute to a positive and vibrant atmosphere.
