POSITION INFO:
Qualifications

• Matric
• A diploma / degree in warehousing or similar field

• At least 3 years of experience in managing a warehouse
• At least 3 years of managing a large staff team
• Proven knowledge of WMS system and warehouse procedures.

• Oversee the daily running of warehouse activities, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and within company standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse and yard, ensuring that all areas are compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accurate inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and resolve stock-related issues. Monitor stock movements and ensure optimal storage of goods.
• Continuously work on improving the picking, packing, and receiving processes to enhance overall productivity and efficiency in warehouse operations.
• Ensure the well-being of all warehouse staff, promoting a positive working environment. Allocate resources and manage staff to ensure optimal performance across all warehouse functions.
• Ensure that warehouse functions are adequately staffed on a daily basis, adjusting staffing levels as needed to meet operational demands.
• Waybill and Courier Management:
• Review and monitor waybills and courier accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.
• Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company policies and legal requirements. Implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Follow up on back-orders and overdue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and preventing any operational delays.
• Ensure that daily targets for receiving and dispatching goods are met, maintaining the efficiency of both inbound and outbound operations.
• Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Regularly conduct safety checks and provide staff training where needed.
• Liaise with customer service and sales teams regarding any client or product-specific special requests, ensuring timely and accurate processing of these requests to assist with any other duties / tasks as may require from time to time.
