JOB SUMMARY:
An opportunity is available for a Warehouse Manager to be based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg. This will be a contract position for 12 months.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Minimum 5 to 10 years’ warehouse management experience, preferably from the Automotive industry (parts division)
Strong managerial skills and techniques
Sound knowledge of all legislation applicable to managing staff especially within the Temporary Employment Sector division
Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
Strong sense of urgency, deadline and result driven
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
Strong organizational and time management skills
Computer literate (MS Office)
Valid drivers’ license with own vehicle
Able to work under extreme pressure and fast pace
Excellent analytical critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to communicate with clients and applicants at all levels
Must be able to write and implement policies and procedures in conjunction with client requirement
Ensure that the operations of the organisation meet the expectations of the clients and Company

Duties and Responsibilities:

Signing of new staff, training and daily communication with applicants and management with regards to status of operations
Measure and report effectiveness of warehousing activities and applicants’ performance
Organise and maintain inventory and storage areas
Communicate job expectations to all applicants
Manage time attendance and registers
Determine staffing levels, manage and assign workload
Maintain a reporting system, document necessary information and reports to project warehouse status
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
Manage and implement business strategies
Liaise with the client on all operational issues
Identify, assess and inform management on all internal and external issues that affect the Department/Business
Manage day to day operations and effective running of the warehouse
Coach and mentor applicants as required to improve performance
Discipline staff where necessary using appropriate tools and techniques
Ensure compliance with company policies, strategies, guidelines and authority levels
