Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY:
An animal nutrition manufacturer requires an energetic and self-motivated Warehouse Supervisor to maintain and oversee inventory and related daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the warehouse according to company policies and procedures.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have completed Grade 12
• A relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
• Previous experience in a warehouse/factory/store environment will be required
• Previous experience within the agricultural industry will be beneficial
• Must be able to work independently and under pressurise
• Good verbal and written communication skills, in English and Afrikaans, are essential
• Must have excellent organisational and management skills, in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel and/or ERP/MRP systems is beneficial
• Must have a valid driver’s licence
• Willing to learn and grow with the company

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
• Evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity as per daily requirements.
• Coordinating the receipt, storage, packing and timely delivery of goods and materials.
• Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
• Checking, processing and filing relevant documentation.
• Ensuring adherence to housekeeping and maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
• Coordinating and maintaining vehicles and equipment.
• Liaising with other departments and customers.
