Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

• Receiving and dispatching of goods
• Route planning
• Fleet maintenance control
• Checking of vehicles and loads
• Receipting of stock
• Daily, weekly and monthly stock takes
• Bin allocations
• General housekeeping duties
• Supervising the drivers
• General administration duties, sorting out queries
• Dealing with customers
• Meeting deadlines
• Loss control
• Labour relations, disciplinary hearings, code of conduct, disputes etc.
• Management of warehouse staff
• Safety / OHSACT

Minimum requirements:

• Candidates need to have the required Warehousing experience within the Steel / Hardware industries – this will be advantageous – but will also look at other Retail industries
• Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience required – preferably 1 year in a Supervisory position
• Syspro experience will be advantageous
• Must have a strong personality to handle and lead people
• Must be willing to work retail hours
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Understanding of Retail processes and procedures
• Computer literate
