Warehouse Supervisor - Lydenburg

SUMMARY:
Exciting career opportunity available for a WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR (MALE) at a Company in LYDENBURG.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred
• At least 5 years previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position in retail
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
• Time management skills and the ability to delegate
• Valid Driver’s License and own transport
• Must reside in Lydenburg area

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Do daily load planning for deliveries to branches & write down on board.
• Communication with tasks regarding out of stock & substitutes for them as well as replenishment of order lists.
• Ask for Model Stock & Appliance list as required so that it can be done which includes completeness & updating of Masters which must be sent out to branches again. Make sure that tasks use new masters & that old ones are deleted.
• Placing additional items on order lists - new stock & what is lacking based on model stocks & appliance lists.
• Planning & calculation of stock to be ordered from suppliers.
• Communication & follow-up of stock on order with suppliers & ETA of deliveries
• Take photos of new products and pass them on to designated person as soon as possible after receiving them to send to branches
• Order & follow up on parts for repairs & determine who is responsible for paying for the parts
• Check and cross-check with Stock clerks of all stock coming back from tasks for damage & who is responsible for paying & pass it on for deduction with payroll
• Responsible for ensuring that weekly count is done by stock clerks & passed on to designated person
• Responsible for making sure new stock is sent out to all branches as soon as possible.
• Responsible for ensuring that weekly sectional stock tasks are done & together with Stock clerks sort out the differences.
• Responsible for weekly truck checklists that must be properly approved in order to plan maintenance
• Responsible for management & coordination of maintenance of vehicles, trailers as well as general repair & renewal of licenses
• Responsible for issuing orders for immediate expenses, sign off with detail of reason, attach order & forward to Manager for sign off
• Management of storage staff regarding leave
• Management of storage staff regarding discipline & disciplinary action as needed
• In the Carpenter’s absence, built stock must be checked & signed off.
• Overall responsible for the day to day operational management of the Warehouse which includes receiving stock, checking quantities & quality, storing stock, controlling it & general cleanliness of stores.
