Warehouse and Distribution Manager

SUMMARY:
An established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking the above to manage the activities for distribution and warehouse activities for their seed and crop protection products, ensuring HSE Compliance and maintaining distribution and warehouse integrity.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have Grade 12
• A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or Distribution and Warehousing would be added advantage
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Distribution and Warehousing, and Inventory Control and Management
• Computer Literacy is a must with SAP experience as an advantage
• Excellent people management and communications skills are required
• Knowledge of the Seed and Agricultural chemical markets is an advantage
• Must be able to work under pressure without losing the ability to systematically complete set tasks

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Liaising with the Commercial team to ensure area budgets and forecasts are achieved.
• Communicating with Site Managers on inventory replenishments.
• Liaising with the Finance team in all areas which impacts finance from a CO point of view.
• Updating the Production team on inventory availability and ensuring product quality is adhered to as well as production goals are achieved.
• In conjunction with the Technical team, ensuring Customer complaints are dealt with and settled as fast as possible as well as making product available for test and trials.
• Ensuring product availability for Research and Development.
• Ensuring zero variance on inventory and high standards of housekeeping.
• Building strong Customer Relations.
• Focusing on Key Customer Account Management.
• Motivating warehouse teams.
• Ensuring adherence to the company pledge and operating principles.
