Web 3 Accountant

POSITION INFO:
Our client is an innovative business operating within the Web3 and digital assets ecosystem , supporting a portfolio of international clients and stakeholders. They are seeking a Financial Accountant or Newly Qualified CA(SA) to join their growing finance function. This is a hands-on accounting role suited to an individual who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day finance function rather than operating solely at a review level. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reporting, managing reconciliations, and supporting the broader finance team in delivering high-quality financial information. Beyond technical ability, culture fit is critical. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and oversee day-to-day accounting activities. Process financial transactions, journals, accruals, and reconciliations. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and digital asset transactions. Support month-end and year-end reporting processes. Assist with external audit requirements and compliance activities. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls. Provide finance support across various business functions and projects. Job Experience and Skills Required BCom Accounting with Honours. Newly Qualified CA(SA) or Accountant with strong accounting experience. Exposure to Crypto, Digital Assets, or Web3 environments is essential. Experience performing a full accounting function. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems. Strong reconciliation and analytical abilities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player. Competency Requirements Strong work ethic and sense of ownership.
