The Role: Web Designer/Developer
As Web Designer/Developer, you will be central to the creation and maintenance of websites for new recruitment agency founders. This hands-on role covers both internal and external digital platformssupporting the main business website and developing new client-facing sites. You''ll transform ideas into fast, modern, and visually engaging WordPress websites while supporting non-technical founders through the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring at least 3 years of experience building and maintaining WordPress websites
- Design and build websites for new recruitment agencies using Divi, Elementor, and other visual builders
- Update and optimise existing sites across the portfolio
- Manage site health, including hosting, backups, and plugin performance
- Convert rough founder concepts into clean, modern designs
- Collaborate directly with founders to gather requirements and explain best practices
- Create and edit basic brand elements, graphics, and layouts as needed
- Connect websites with Google Analytics and support basic SEO improvements
- Contribute to ongoing improvements to the central company website
About You
- 3+ years of hands-on WordPress design and development experience
- Confident using Divi, Elementor, or similar tools
- Strong design sense with attention to layout, branding, and usability
- Friendly, patient communicator who can simplify technical topics
- Solid understanding of site speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO basics
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and graphic design is an advantage
- Familiarity with recruitment websites or service-led brands is a plus, but not required
