OVERVIEW

My client, is looking for a skilled, full-time website developer who will be responsible for developing, maintaining and designing websites for it’s local & global network and brands.

The successful candidate would report to the Digital Marketing Manager and will be working alongside a team of graphic designers, paid media specialists and other skilled marketing team members in creating, maintaining, and updating in excess of 20 websites, belonging to the client’s brand network.

DAY TO DAY REQUIREMENTS OF THE WEBSITE DEVELOPER

• Website and software application designing, building, or maintaining.
• Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools and applications..
• Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
• Directing or performing website updates.

• Converting XD/Figma/Sketch files to Html, CSS and JavaScript pages
• Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
• Basic editing, writing & designing of website content, to ensure content provided aligns with SEO requirements, to optimise results. Keyword analysis etc.
• Maintain an understanding of the latest technology applications and website programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.
• Back up files from web sites to local directories for recovery. cPanel, KonsoleH, AWS, or any other general server application experience, is required.
• Identifying problems uncovered by the Marketing Director and/or Digital Marketing Manager, feedback and testing, and correcting problems timeously.
• Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
• Determining user needs by analysing technical requirements.

• Working closely with the SEO team to ensure all web development maximises SEO outcomes. Technical SEO Development skills would be highly advantageous.

WEB DEVELOPER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in web development / IT programming
• Minimum of 5 years’ web development experience in a corporate or agency setting.
• Solid knowledge and experience Google Analytics [set-up and monitoring], Google Tag Manager, Tracking and Reporting.
• Solid knowledge and experience with search engine optimisation [best practices, core updates].
• Proficient in:

• WordPress plugin customisation
• Developing WordPress Pages dynamically using ACF

• Microsoft 365 Suite
• Self-reliant on IT Related Troubleshooting
• Adobe Creative Suite [Adobe XD, Dreamweaver, Photoshop] would be beneficial
