Luxury Spa at a Boutique Hotel based in Ballito is looking for an experienced Wellness Practitioner & Experience Curator.
POSITION INFO:
Duties: Design, schedule and facilitate yoga classes, guided meditation \/ mindfulness sessions, and sound-bath experiences for individual guests and small groups. Create detailed, bespoke multi-day or short-stay wellness itineraries tailored to guest goals. These should integrate practices, rest periods, suggested rituals and any relevant hotel services. Conduct brief pre-session or arrival consultations to understand guest needs, limitations, experience level and intentions, then adapt sessions accordingly. Prepare and maintain serene practice spaces, equipment, props, sound instruments and any supporting materials to premium standards of cleanliness, aesthetics and safety. Host regular wellness sessions or short programmes for hotel staff to support team wellbeing, recovery and culture. Collaborate closely with front-of-house and other team members to promote offerings, coordinate bookings, gather feedback and ensure seamless, personalised guest journeys. Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, hygiene and guest safety always. Continuously refine programmes based on guest feedback, seasonal themes and emerging wellness practices that align with the hotel's luxury-relaxation positioning. Maintain accurate records of sessions, feedback and any required certifications\/insurance. Requirements: Recognised yoga teacher certification (minimum RYT-200 or equivalent) with experience teaching mixed-level and restorative\/adaptive classes. Formal training and practical experience in guided meditation \/ mindfulness and sound healing \/ sound baths. Proven ability to design structured wellness experiences or programmes Excellent interpersonal skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for creating clear, beautiful itineraries and managing sessions in a small luxury environment. Professional indemnity insurance and current first-aid \/ CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Fluent English; additional languages an advantage. Availability for flexible hours that suit guest schedules Previous work in boutique hotels, luxury spas, wellness resorts or high-end private client settings will be an advantage. Experience creating multi-day detox, digital-detox, recovery or restorative programmes will be an advantage. Knowledge of complementary practices that can enhance offerings without diluting focus. Familiarity with high-touch, anticipatory hospitality service standards. Basic understanding of nutrition \/ wellness lifestyle principles Experience facilitating group or team wellbeing sessions.
